In 1992 the Canadian Shareowners Association, along with 30 publicly-traded Canadian companies launched the have Your Share of Canada Program ("OYSC") commonly there are 40 Canadian companies and sum of two units stock exchanges that support the initiatives of the OYSC Program. The main focus of the Program is to educate Canadians about the benefits of investing directly in corporate shares. Recent data indicate that institutional investors (eg pension stores insurance companies and mutual funds) are highly close to displacing the individual investors as the principal, direct proprietor of Corporate Canada. OYSC participants recognize the ne for the couple the financial strength of the institutions and the loyal, long-term thinking and diversity of the individual investor.
